# Create PEX tags for GreenSlate

> PEX Tag manager is your one stop shop to sync GreenSlate fields with PEX tags. Each PEX tag corresponds to a GreenSlate field. The connector can auto pull in your projects, accounts, episodes, locations, etc. from GreenSlate, so you don’t have to add them manually in PEX.

Once they’re in PEX, you can easily code/tag transactions before they sync to GreenSlate. They will then sync to GreenSlate with the correct project, account, episode, location, etc.

<Steps>
  <Step>
    Log in to [http://dashboard.pexcard.com/](http://dashboard.pexcard.com/?utm_source=support)
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Go to [Business Settings -> Tag manager](https://dashboard.pexcard.com/business-settings/tags?utm_source=support)
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click **Add Tag**.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Select **Dropdown** as the type.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Enter a name: **Account**.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Optionally, add a description like "GreenSlate Account".
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Check **Enabled** to make this tag visible on transactions.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Choose whether or not this tag is required.

    * If the "Required" checkbox is checked, cardholders must tag a transaction with it.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click **Save tag** to finish.

    * The new tag will appear on the Tag Manager page.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Create one tag for each GreenSlate field mapped to a PEX tag (like Episode, Location, etc.) following the same steps above.

    <Note>
      **Note:**

      If you want to map the Description field to a tag, you must create a **Text** tag type.
