# Searching for a Card

> Quickly find a PEX card by cardholder name or partial match using the search and filter tools on the Cards tab of the administrator site.

## Searching for a card via the Administrator Site

The fastest way to find a specific card is to use the "Find in this Table" box on the top right of the card page.

    Log in to dashboard.pexcard.com
  </Step>

    Click the "Cards" tab on the left navigation
  </Step>

  <Step>
    On the top right of the screen, enter the name of the cardholder.

    * You can also enter partial names.

The Filter function will let you narrow your search results by specific criteria. Use multiple criteria to get more precise results.

    Click the "Filter" dropdown to see options:

    * Cardholder Name
    * Card Number
    * Card ID
    * Group
    * Spending Policy
    * Status
    * Has PIN?
    * Balance
    * Date Issued
    * Expiration Date
    * Date Last Used

    Enter the Cardholder Name, Card Number, Card ID, in the box to the right of your selection
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click the blue Add button.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    The filter is added, resulting in a filtered view of the card list based on the criteria selected / entered.

*In this example, a filter to find Active Status was used to narrow the list. Then, a second filter for Balance is selected, looking for a balance greater than \$250. This will be applied to the list in combination with the Active Status filter.*
