# Card Expiration and Renewal

> All PEX cards expire at midnight EST (Eastern Time) on the last day of the expiration month.

Renewal cards are automatically shipped via First Class Mail 10-15 business days (no tracking) two months (60 days) prior to card expiration.

<Note>
  **Note:**

  Cards on Disburse programs will **not** auto renew.
</Note>

Prior to expiring, administrators may either replace the cards or can opt to create a new card order on the dashboard. It is recommended administrators create a new card order rather than replacing the existing cards.

* Renewal cards are sent to the shipping address for the cardholder that is on file under their profile
* Prior to card renewal, ensure the shipping address on file is up to date and accurate
* Card accounts that do not have a shipping address listed will have auto renewed cards automatically shipped to the billing address on file by default.
* The shipping estimate of 10-15 business day begins the business day after the card order is processed rather than when the order has shipped. Shipment of cards take a number of days and will be available for view on the dashboard under the *Card Orders* section once the card order has been processed.

  <Note>
    **Note:**

    Note that holidays (4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) will also impact delivery estimates as offices are closed for the holiday.
  </Note>

Updated shipping addresses for each card account is recommended in order to ensure cards are received in a timely manner. If you do not receive your renewal card by the end of the prior month of expiration, then please contact your Business Administrator for details.

<Note>
  **Note:**

  Active, Inactive, and Blocked cards will auto-renew; Closed cards will not auto-renew.
