# Deleting receipts from transactions (for cardholders)

> The PEX platform lets cardholders attach an image of a receipt to the record of a merchant transaction.

Cardholders can also **delete** a receipt from the transaction through the dashboard site or the PEX mobile app.

## How to delete a receipt via the mobile app:

    Log in to the Mobile App
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click on the "Transactions" icon
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Navigate to the merchant transaction
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click on the transaction
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click on the receipt image
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click "Delete" in the confirmation dialogue box
  </Step>

## How to delete a receipt via the dashboard:

  <Step>
    Click "Transactions" in the left navigation
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Navigate to the transaction
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Hover over the receipt
  </Step>

  <Step>
    To delete the receipt without reviewing it, click the "x" on the top right of the receipt
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click the green "Remove" button in the confirmation dialogue box
  </Step>

  <Step>
    To review the receipt before you delete it, click the receipt image or the button "edit"
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click on the "Trash Can" icon to delete the receipt
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click the "Delete" button in the confirmation dialogue box
  </Step>

Deleting a receipt does not delete any associated transaction notes. Once you delete a receipt, you can attach a new file to the transaction.
