Scheduled Card Funding and Low-Balance Funding

The PEX system lets administrators add funds to card balances automatically:

  • To “top up” card balances regularly to a preset amount (e.g., to add funds to a card automatically, on a particular day, so that the card balance equals $200):
    • Every day
    • On a particular day of the week
    • On the 1st of the Month
  • To replenish cards by a preset amount when they hit a certain low balance (e.g., to add $175 to a card when the card balance drops below $25)

Maximum and Minimum Card Balances

The standard maximum allowed balance on a single PEX card is $25,000.

There is no required minimum balance on a card.

How to Schedule Card Funding

Administrators can easily schedule regular funding of card balances.

How to add funds to a card on a regular schedule, through the Administrator Site:

  1. Log into the Administrator Site
  2. Click the "Cards" tab at the top of the page
  3. Click “Card list”
  4. Locate and click on the cardholder's name
  5. Click “Funding” in the menu under the blue bar
  6. Go to the "Scheduled funding" section
  7. Enter the amount that you want the card balance to equal after the scheduled funding
  8. Click the “Every” dropdown to select the day when you want the funding to occur:
    • Every Day
    • Day of the Week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
    • Every 1st of the Month
  9. Click the green "Set" button

How to Stop Scheduled Card Funding

Administrators can easily stop scheduled card funding.

How to Stop Scheduled Card Funding through the Administrator Site:

  1. Log into the Administrator Site
  2. Click the "Cards" tab at the top of the page
  3. Click “Card List”
  4. Locate and click on the cardholder's name
  5. Click “Funding” in the menu under the blue bar
  6. Go to the "Scheduled funding" section
  7. Click “Remove”

Automatic Low-Balance Funding

How to add funds to a card automatically when the card balance runs low, through the Administrator Site:

  1. Log into the Administrator Site
  2. Click the "Cards" tab at the top of the page
  3. Click “Card list”
  4. Locate and click on the cardholder's name
  5. Click “Funding” in the menu under the blue bar
  6. Go to the "Low-balance funding" section
  7. Enter the amount to add to the card (“I would like to add $_____”)
  8. Enter the low-balance threshold (“whenever the card balance is less than or equal to $______”)
  9. Click the Green "Update" button

How to Cancel Automatic Low-Balance Card Funding

How to cancel automatic low-balance card funding:

  1. Log into the Administrator Site
  2. Click the "Cards" tab at the top of the page
  3. Click “Card List”
  4. Locate and click on the cardholder's name
  5. Click “Funding” in the menu under the blue bar
  6. Go to the "Low-balance funding" section
  7. Click the “Remove" button
