What changed
We’ve simplified how groups work in PEX. Cardholder groups and user groups now appear together in a single, unified groups list under Team members → Groups. Previously, the dashboard showed two separate group types — one for cardholders and one for users. That distinction is gone. All of your groups live in one place, making it easier to see and manage your whole team in a single view.Note:All of your existing groups — including cardholder groups — are still here. Names, members and any settings tied to those groups carry over automatically. No action is needed on your end.
What you’ll see in the dashboard
- A single groups list under Team members → Groups
- All previously separate cardholder and user groups in one unified view
- The same group names and members you already had
- A streamlined group creation flow — no need to pick a group type when creating new groups
What stays the same
Groups still work the way you’re used to. You can create, edit and remove groups, add and remove members and use groups in spend policies, approval workflows and card management — all from the same place as before.Coming soon: roles
We’re working on a roles feature that will give you more control over who can access what in your PEX account. You’ll be able to assign predefined roles — like Manager, Bookkeeper or View-Only Admin — to users and groups, with a clear picture of exactly what each role can do. Roles will build on the unified group structure we’re introducing now. No existing user permissions will change when roles launch. We’ll share more details as we get closer to release.
