Good to know:
- A PIN doesn’t unlock cash. Setting a PIN never gives a cardholder cash access - not at an ATM, and not as “cash back” at checkout.
If a cardholder forgets their PIN, PEX Customer Service can’t recover or reset it - only an administrator can. The cardholder should contact their administrator for a new one, or, if you checked the box in step 7 (dashboard) above, they can change it themselves.
A PIN isn’t required to use the card. PEX cards work without one! A cardholder can always complete a purchase by processing it as credit instead:
- At the point of sale, choose the “Bypass PIN” option if the terminal offers it and follow the prompts to complete the purchase as credit.
- If bypass isn’t offered, try a mobile wallet, or ask the cashier to run the card as credit.
