PEX is committed to providing the highest levels of security for our customers. In order to prevent unauthorized users from accessing your account, we may prompt you to enter a Secure Access Code when you log in to your account from a new device. This feature is also known as “Two Factor Authentication” and prevents unauthorized users from gaining access to your account, even if they know your password. PEX will never call and ask you for this code. You may be prompted for a Secure Access Code the first time you access the PEX site from a new browser or new device.Documentation Index

Why am I being prompted for a code every time I log in?
The most common reasons you’re prompted for a secure access code multiple times on the same device are:- You’re using incognito mode (in Chrome) or private browsing (in Firefox or Safari)
- Your browser is set to clear cookies and site data on exit (check under browser preferences > cookies & site data)
- You have a plugin that blocks site data
